Jimex first began manufacturing custom walk-in coolers for customers in the Bay Area in 1994, custom fabricating all panels and installing these units for all types of refrigeration applications.

Then, in 1996, the design and manufacturing of unique self-contained refrigeration systems was set into place when Jimex figured out a way to fill a void in the foodservice industry by introducing the most energy-efficient and ergonomic commercial refrigeration systems in the market. 

Jimex introduced Ascend refrigeration systems to the foodservice industry in 1998 and, during the first year of sales, increased gross sales by 600%. Ever since, Jimex has been highly regarded as manufacturers of the most innovative and affordable units in the industry.
